Innovation

A hands-on approach to designing the next generation of physical experiences — prototyped at full scale, in our own workshop.

Research tracks

01

Responsive materials

Surfaces that change state with light, heat or touch — and the control systems that keep them predictable in a busy room.

02

Machine vision in public space

Tracking that reads a crowd without identifying anyone in it. Privacy is a design constraint, not a disclaimer.

03

Sound as architecture

Directional audio that lets one room hold four conversations, tested at full scale in our workshop.

The lab is where we spend the time a client brief never budgets for. Some of it becomes a project two years later; some of it stays a very expensive lesson. Both are useful.

We publish what we can. If a track below overlaps with something you are working on, write to us.
